I like it :D It's perfect how the candle fades into the darkness! I don't know if I really get the discription, never studied Shakespeare, but is it saying that life is nothing? Doomed to go under anyway? If so, don't think like that :-s I'm so happy I have a life and future with you! It can't be nothing, it's everything, it's wonderful! Anyway, I don't care if it's insignificant in the whole perspective, it is to me! Ok, it's really embarrassing now if my interpretation is wrong :P but I love you!

No it's not wrong at all ;) This is a soliloquy (like a way of showing the audience a actors thoughts) of Macbeth (I think :confused:)... He was utterly melancholic and depressed +++ His wife commited suicide and I can't remember all of the other horrible circumstances he was in - typical tradegy :P... But don't get me wrong, it's not what I think life is at all! Just felt like a suiting comment... and I wanted ppl to think about life... which you did so :D I'm sorry I gave the wrong impression though :(

yeah he's depressed, but that's not his entire reason behind the soliloque. it was to tell of his unmitigated contempt for the ways in which people fritter away their time on this earth, with niether purpose nor path. it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.the phrase lends itself to the pointless perfidity of it all. the never ceasing cycle of days and nights in which nothing changes. sorry.... i get a bit carried away sometimes, i like the pic ^^

I'm glad this made you think as well! I think that this sentence and the soliloquy carries so much emotion and meaning. Its hard to stop commenting about what it all could mean.
